I did worked well (used to have 3 to 4 periods a month before doing it but I gained too much weight on it

@dohmommy2016, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you weigh before / after you were on it? I'm too scared to get anything implanted, and this pill is horrible. I don't think I'd mind the weight gain

I weighed 117 before depo and I believe almost 130 after. but the other issue is that I have endometriosis and had 2 surgeries after that then was put on Lupron to treatment the endometriosis again which put me into full menopause for 3 months then took 3 months to get my body to restart and my first period I got pregnant! so honestly it's hard to judge if I didn't have so many problems after if I would have been able to loose weight. oh well I loved depo because I didn't have a period for the whole 3 months it lasts just hurts to get the injection they always did it in my but. After the depo I got the iud and really loved it but it's really expensive only had it in for the 3 months I was on Lupron and the wasn't on anything for 3 months before getting pregnant.

I have and its been the only birth control i have ever used i really didn't gain weight...yes u get hungry but dont mean u gotta eat the whole time gotta discipline ur body...i stayed at my weight which was 127...but once i got off BOOM baby came

I had the depo for 2 1/2 years and I really liked it. I didnt have a period and I did not have problems with weight gain. I got off of if because you arent supposed to be on it for more than 3 years and I was worried I would have a hard time getting pregnant since I was on it for so long.
