@missjess, that's great. I had 6 months with my employer when I was pregnant last. ( I'm a sahm now) but The thing about this post is it is a countrywide thing. Not depended on the generosity of the employer. I think we need this here in the untied states more companies don't give it than those that do.
it depends on where u work. my husband gets paid all 6 weeks he is out for the baby. I get paid the entire 12 weeks too. also, your company may not pay you for FMLA like your regular salary but if u have insurance through them and carry short term disability then u can file it under short term disability and get paid while u are out.

At my current job for full timers I think they give like 12-15 weeks. 😶 that's barely anything.

I told my supervision that I wanted 16 weeks off (not paid) and she's like wait what? Uhmmmm yeah. You're not paying me anyway. Sheesh

I have a union job and got an extended leave 12 weeks paid but I don't care I get to be home for 8 months and still keep my job with benefits

if u have been with your job for a year you get 12 weeks off under FMLA.. no questions asked...

@mommylife2three, yes but not paid maternity leave. That's what I'm talking about. Fmla isn't paid at all.
