Do you go right back on birth control once the baby is born? Idk how long I'll be out of commission for sex, but I want to make sure when I'm able too I won't be getting pregnant right after!

they usually give it to you at your six week checkup, that's why they tell us no sex until after that visit. I've known people to get pregnant before their six week checkup, smh.

Yikes. I'll ask my midwife next month. I don't see why they would make you wait to start it. By 6 weeks it will be in your system and everything will be good to go.

yea just double check, I know I didn't get mine until after my checkup but that was the years ago

I just think waiting prolonges you from having sex. I don't see the point. My boyfriend is a baby maker. I'm not trying to get pregnant right after I have a baby. Condoms it is I guess.
