At what age would do you think a child should switch from a crib to a toddler bed? My child is 16…

I switched at 3 but I think it was only because we moved. I needed them secured in their cribs. But they started climbing out so it really didn't matter. Lol

@baby6aryn, I'm contemplating on getting her a toddler bed in the next few months and give her crib to the new baby. Or just keep her in the crib and buy a whole other crib for new baby

@amaperalta03, no I think that's smart. Unless it's a three in one crib and you intend to use it all the way up.

@baby6aryn, her crib we have now it's a convertible crib but I have to order the toddler rails through the company and its honestly a head ache to do so. I'm just afraid she may night be ready for a toddler bed just yet but my boyfriend says she is. He said he'll just buy those safety rails to put on the bed so she doesn't roll outta bed in her sleep

I agree with your boyfriend. No need to purchase another crib.

Yep! And you wouldn't have wasted the money on a second crib. Win, win lol

My son is 21 months and sleeps on a twin size bed already since he was 18 month ... I put the rail so he won't fall

@heartbeat, did he adapt easily ?

1st week I had to put my dress next to him to he can still feel like I'm next to him the week after he was good till today... I like the twin so he could have it till he goes away to college lol just kidding but at least I won't think about buying another bed when he grows you know... He went from my bed to his skipped the crib... And the convertible cribs still have to spend money buying the parts and another mattress according to the stage and that's too much spending for me @amaperalta03
