I see nothing wrong with it and it also depends on the maturity level of the teenager

If there was an adult present I would be in but babies are different than say, 2-3 yr old! If there was not an adult around I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my baby!

I remember baby sitting younger then 16 as long as the 16 year old seems responsible and mature I think 16 is a good age!

I think if you feel like this 16 year old is responsible enough I don't see an issue! I started babysitting around 13-14 so I think 16 is the perfect age.

I think it's okay ,as longs as you know that the 16 year old is responsible and you trust them . . when I was 12 my sister was 16 and since my mom needed to work she would leave us with my sister .
