How does everyone feel about traveling while in the 3rd trimester. Both my husbands family and mine live in Colorado but we're moving to Florida this summer and they all want us back here for a baby shower. Problem is it's a 21 hour drive and they're wanting me to be like 8 months pregnant.

Driving is fine. It's flying that's not recommended

Dang that's a long drive. I wouldn't be able to do it. My baby is high up so it hurts when I'm in the car for a while and my boobs are just resting on my stomach. I don't even want to drive to San Diego for a wedding and that's a 3 hour drive

I had an awful driving experience and I was only 6w pregnant. I had horrible car sickness and my legs would get achy. We drove 12hours for 2 days going to SC from TX and then another 12 hours for 2 days to TX from SC. Of course it took longer than we thought because we kept stopping for rr breaks and to let my dog walk for a few mins. I couldn't imagine doing it in the 3rd trimester lol

I'll be making an 18 hour drive to Colorado at 30w. Dr said it's fine as long as I have no signs of preterm labor and make sure there's a good hospital there. Also to drink tons of water and stop every couple hours.

flying is OK till 36 weeks if you have a normal pregnancy.. honestly it would probably be harder on you and the baby to be in the car that long than to fly on a plane late in pregnancy.. some airlines actually let you fly later than 36 weeks..
