@smalltownmama oh fyi if your breast feeding a dad can't take him until you stop breastfeeding. So keep doing that!

does the man drink? run with that. threatening to take away things you care about? tell the courts. hell you could even tell them that he wont allow you to get a job and vehicle... make the system feel bad for you being around him, and they'll feel bad for the baby being around him

I'm a stay at home mom with no vehicle or license too and the court would 100% favor me.... he can get a kidnapping charge for taking his own kid if he drives away, and courts don't take away a baby that's breastfeeding either.... my husband is a responsible, caring guy and still got his rights to his son stripped in court by baby momma who lives with her mom, has no job, and gets welfare and had 1 other kid at the time (now she has 3 kids)

That's why you file for custody before he does. If he has your son and files then yes he can keep him until court and might even win. You definitely need custody settled before something negative happens.
