Okay so I live in my boyfriends house with his mom and sisters and his older sister has two kids. We have two dogs in the house mine and theirs. Mine is 6 months with an accident problem that we are trying to fix but I'm pregnant and his mom and sister don't want my dog in my room when the baby's born cuz they think It will be bad for the baby and bad for me while I'm pregnant. I try working with them and keeping the dog in a cage at night in the living room so she won't pee anywhere but they don't want her there and we try putting a baby gate in the hall so she has a place at night and they say no. Their options are leave the dog outside when you're not home and at night when you're asleep or give the dog away. I'm so beyond mad ughhhhhhh I don't wanna have this stress while pregnant

That's stupid lol dogs cause no health hazards to babies. Cats do with their liter boxes but maybe if you train the puppy to use the bathroom outside they will let you keep it

Cats only cause problems while you are pregnant not after the birth but dogs don't cause any problems at all I would suggest potty training

i can kinda see where they are coming from we live with my fiances dad and step mom we live in their basement and their 3 dogs pee in the house they know to go outside but they do it anyways. well anyways the room we are in use to be where they pottied alot and ive carpet cleaned twice the smell still isnt gone and they come down here and mark their spot on all of my baby stuff ive had to re wash so many baby clothes and the carseat cover we have. so i can get why they may not want the dog around baby new smells cause dogs to want to pee on stuff

I have 4 dogs two outside and two inside and I'm 22 weeks pregnant and my baby is perfectly fine the two dogs inside sleep in the same bed with us they are no harm only cats from what I know of but that's stupid there just trying to look for an excuse so you can get rid of it

your dog is still a puppy. just focus more on training him to let you know when he needs to potty so you can take him out, this takes work from everyone and kennel train him. my dogs refuse to kennel train, sometimes they're good, sometimes they suck.

Maybe you should ask her why she won't even give your dog a chance to be trained. I couldn't do that my way or the highway bullcrap, she needs to give your pup a chance to be trained instead of telling you he stays outside or leaves.
