So I tested positive for Group B Strep a couple weeks ago and just started reading up on it. I'm pretty freaked out. I was negative the other 3 pregnancies. Is my baby going to be ok? Nurse said they'll give me antibiotics during delivery, but what is the likelihood he'll develop problems?

you're okay! it's a bacteria found in about 25% of ALL healthy pregnant women. I had it with my son. they give you the meds so it doesn't effect his eyes or mouth when delivering, you couldn't prevent it. its not like an std or anything just means you basically have more bad cells than good! you and baby will be okay!

If you have your IV antibiotics then don't worry.
