Hate seeing this girl who has her bit shoved up her horses mouth with the bit pinching the mares lips. Makes me want to slap the person and take the bridle off the horse and out of their hands!😡😡😡😡😡

we have two horses and i ride mine with just a halter. every now and then i put the bridle in because she is a crotchety old mare. but i hate seeing this too.

@sierranichols, I have to use one with my mare also shes a girl that likes to go but my tack is fitted. This girl has a mare, she puts a bridle on thats too tight, has the wrong bit for the bridle, and wonders why her horse wont eat. Im heading out there today to "help her figure it out" i already know what it is. That poor horse has probably got some bad sores. Claims shes a horse trainer but doesnt know how to adjust her tack. I wouldnt eat either with sores in my mouth

a horse trainer would know the signs as soon as the bridle was put on. if it continues it is neglect. an animal owner that allows something like that to keep happening is just being neglectful.

@sierranichols, she thinks she is this horse whisperer im heading over there here in a few. I can already guess this poor girl has sores on both sides of her mouth. I went to TSC yesterday and bought the proper bit for that bridle. If she had it set up right that bit might work but she doesnt have right so i bought her a different one just because itll be better for this horse anyways. She uses a harsh harsh bit on her too and i dont think she knows this mare doesnt need that

no horse needs a harsh bit, just someone that knows what they are doing. my horse is a tennessee walker and very high strung but i dont need a harsh bit for her.

@sierranichols, exactly. Its not about the equipment its about horsemanship i use the least contact, lightest bit in my horses mouth and shes a pushy, high strung, moody mare but theres no reason i need a harsh bit to keep her under control. Just takes a little more time and little more work with her
