so I saw a post earlier of a girl at 25 weeks wanting to go into labor.
first off no you really don't have g a premature baby is very hard to handle. it's a world of the worse stress no sleep for months on end hoping and praying that your baby will survive not being able to hold the baby for a while. heck depending on how early you can't touch them! you have so many ups and downs you worry every time the machines go off your baby is hooked up to machines their entire stay. it sucks but it doesn't end there nope. coming home you have a packet of RULES yes rules for your baby. feeding a certain way holding a certain way. medication schedule who can and cannot hold him. rules on taking the baby places. and how long you should keep the baby at home and away from people before you expose them to excessive germs. then if your baby gets sick you will most likely end up in the hospital because most preemies don't have a strong immune system. some seen like they don't even have them! bake your baby in your tummy as long as you can. nicu is nice and im thankful for them for the three months that my son was in there. but it's tough really tough. I know that some woman are excited about there baby and WISH things would hurry up. but don't TRY to go into premature labor
@andrrea, surprisingly he is actually sick right now he has a bronchiovirus for the past few weeks that's not going away but he's still gaining weight so his doctor isn't worried
Aww he is beautiful and looks healthy!!! Glad you got through it and him too! He's a fighter.💙💙💙
That's so true. Same here I worried everyday and literally spent all day every day at the NICU. The restless nights and days are no joke.
@karennn, some people just haven't been thru it and most of the field today either don't care, aren't educated, or understand. but majority don't. health during pregnancy is alot bigger than people treat it. especially for the baby we had three months of NICU I don't think I went a day with our worrying
Is she crazy? Does she not love the baby? They can die being born that early. My baby girl was born at 26 weeks only weighting 2lbs 11oz and spent 2 months in the NICU it is the hardest thing to deal with and seeing your little one going through all that, It's painful. And as you said, the journey continuous at home. My baby was super healthy for being a micro preemie but we still had to follow up a lot of things. Now she's a healthy 14 month old and super energetic but not everyone gets that lucky.
@countrymama166, let's just say there was more sleepless nights with my preemie than I ever had with my eldest lol
his developmental skills are at 2m where as his age is 5 so people get really confused about how that goes
Awwwww I can't even imagine having a baby they early or small I would be worried 24/7
Ya I was even scared when my daughter tried to come at 34 weeks but luckily my water didn't break just had contractions and they stopped it with a shot
They think it's fun and cute until you see your baby fighting for its life, some girls don't know especially first time moms, I'm one myself at the moment but even then I knew it's not healthy or good for the baby to be born early. Being in NICU I saw a baby with oxygen and everything, super tiny and I teared because it's so sad seeing a baby like that.
@andrrea, my water broke at 26 weeks I actually still had fluid and hasn't started contacting so I was put on bed rest at the hospital simply because they don't want the baby born so early! I didn't last nearly as long as I wanted to the other woman that was there broke at 25 and delivered at 36 even people joining about it bugs me because of how serious it is and how much stress it caused my family personally. I don't understand girls these days.
@countrymama166, that was my first question on it. like it's sucks enough having a 27 weeker I can't imagine 25
she was deff wanting 25 weeks. there was no mention of doing Incase she went over fourty but instead wanted baby out at 25 @kattastrophe ii wouldn't have mentioned anything if it had been the normal how to induce if u go over your due date.
That's insane, I started looking up things early but seen too many things and would never want my baby out that early, I asked to get induced at 39 weeks which is perfectly fine, they make you wait until then earlier than that they won't which I was fine with but 25 weeks your baby is developing so much then considering it's all slowly coming to an end. The wait sucks but it's so worth it after all those weeks. My baby was 5lbs and NICU for a week, not because of her weight or anything, she was super healthy just her sugar level was low which went up that same night and never went back down again but they had started her on medication that's for a week so for that reason we couldn't take her home, which sucked beyond words but couldn't be happier to have her here, healthy and happy! Women should honestly wait until your doctor says it's either okay to get induced or until your water breaks on your own. Before then no one will allow it.
I was looking up how to induce labor judt in case I went over 40 weeks when I was about 30 weeks. just thought I'd read up ahead of time (I went into labor at 39 weeks though lol)... are you sure there isn't a misunderstanding? because I never heard of anyone actually trying to induce that early.
no it's not. mainly because of the weight and the lung devwoplment at 25 weeks baby is about 1lb-2lbs. mine was born at 27 and was 2lbs @bianca_rose @hellokarly I couldn'tdare want to make a baby come that early. I still get upset about my youngest being born so early. so it gets to me when I see woman wanting to go into labor early babies need that development inside its essential. especially for eyesight.
Aww I hope he feels better, poor baby!! As I said he's a fighter and will get through anything and everything!
