So today i am 36+3. Not long back from the hospital for my consultant appointment. She is still measuring big. This is also NOT due to Gestational Diabetes. The consultant has told me that labour is more than likely going to have to be started early as she is set to be more than 9lbs. She is measuring very big. Its getting me anxious that they will have to start the labour with medication. Any other ladies experienced this? X x x
I measured big the whole way through, had 2 sweeps and went into labour naturally at 41+2 and my little boy was 9lb 2oz! xxx
I havent been given a date yet @amielee93 . I have to go back in two weeks and see the doctor which is when they will give me a date if she hasnt showed signs of coming xx
I'm being induced today @amielee93 I'm 38+5 I was supposed to be induced yesterday but i was double booked x
My girl was big :) it wasn't down to gestational diabetes either :) She was born 6 days early weighing 8lbs 4ozs:) which surprised me because I expected her to be more :) Bigger babies are easier to labour/birth hun :) But no matter how big the baby is...small or big.... its painful having them come out of a small place :) xx
Oh I see so how many weeks they inducing you both at @mrsripper @leahfitz
Yeah I had a second scan 2 weeks later which confirmed large for dates @amielee93 that's when they discuss induction .... xx
No she is clearly measuring big and has been above the growth line for weeks now. x
They said this to me and then when I had my scan yesterday they said there was no need and it could of just been down to the scan on the day not being very accurate @mrsripper @leahfitz
I am a little scared because the thought of labour scares me, even more now i know that she is measuring big x
The doctors say they will be very reluctant to let me go past 39 weeks xx
