Has anyone had an epidural and does it hurt? Ive never had one ive had 2 natural vagina births but ive been really worried about giving birth and the pain and with all the stress im having with housing and being a single mum im worried I will be to stressed to push the baby out and that I will be thinking to much. Does the epidural actually take the pain contractions away? X

Yup takes all the pain away, it's quite painful having it put in but it's quick.

I'd have a epidural any day. didn't really hurt. the numbing injection stung abit. then I just felt pressure of the big needle x

@zakaryharoonruben3, I had an epidural. I'm not joking, they're the best things in the entire world! I would def get one again. Personally, I was in so much pain in labour that I didn't even feel the epidural being given. It takes all the pain away within about 20 mins. It saved my life, haha! xx

i had 1 and will never have one again. didnt work and the put it in wrong TWICE. works for some and not for others tho obviously x

I had a spinal :) didn't hurt at all :) and within 2 minutes I didn't feel any contractions :) Wasn't my choice to have one...The doc made the decision because I had to be prepped for a csectiom if the forceps didn't work x
