I hate when people fail to realize if a pregnant woman (NO matter the age) receives government assistance, they HAVE to pay it back as soon as they get a job! So I don't understand why people get all hateful and judgemental and say "I hate spending my tax dollars on you because you couldn't wear a condom..." For one, most of these women probably wore one and didn't plan their pregnancy and for two, most actually support their babies and do whatever it takes to make sure their babies have what they need at the end of the day.
I also hate when people state "you're being selfish by having a baby at a young age." or "You're making a mistake." or "I find it funny how young women can have babies, I've been trying for years and have had no luck, but yall can pop them out just fine." Like, one, it's none of your damn business. Two, no one asked your opinion. Three, My BABY is NOT a MISTAKE! Four, it's not other women's fault you can't conceive so stop blaming young women for your problems.

paying back government assistance? my friend is a single mom who gets help and works as a waitress and doesn't pay anyone anything...

I don't know how it is there, but in Missouri I was told that women have to pay it back if you get a check from the government. @nichole_lynn

what assistant program from the government sends a check? sounds more like you're talking about a government loan, which EVERYONE can get and has to pay back. @kaidensmommy943

I don't know, my nurse may have gotten it confused, but she told me I should sign up for it because I've been on bed rest since 22 weeks and just now got put to little activity, but I told her no that as soon as he's born I was going to go to work, but it may have been a government loan. @nichole_lynn @twins1987

Each state is different. In Ga, you dont pay it back. The father of the children have to pay it. Especially if they're on child support. I just dont like the ones that rely on it and not better themselves. Its one thing for you to need it. But dont abuse it. And you have some women out there that keep having kids just to stay on welfare.

I mean honestly I have no idea if that's what it really was what she was talking about, I don't know much about government help besides WIC and food stamps! I'm completely clueless about that stuff.
