Does anyone elses 3 week old just kind of spit up a lot all at once and it just kind of flies? I keep asking my mil is she is sick because I read spit up isn't supposed to be forceful and it looks forceful to me but she keeps saying it's normal.

try to burp her every ounce she drinks. sometimes it could be built up gas trying to come out, causing her to spit up. when the doctor recommended I do that for spit up and hiccups my son stopped doing it a lot.

I usually burp her every half ounce to an ounce. Her grandma was the one feeding her this time. She likes to help with her bit if she gets a dirty diaper she likes to pass the buck to me or my husband or pass the butt as she calls it lol. Sorry ADHD moment, off topic! She is hard to burp

Make sure it's spit up and not vomiting. My daughter would over eat sometimes (which they try saying is impossible but it's apparently not) and shed projectile vomit.

There shouldn't be a lot with spit up at all, you should just be able to wipe it away like a thin film. If it's vomit there will be a lot more and thicker consistency to it.

the doctor also said spit up shouldn't be no bigger than a tablespoon, maybe a little, but if its a lot like the palm of your hand then it should be a concern especially if its that amount that keeps happening.
