If you're thrifty you can do a lot with 1000.

Not needing a crib will help a lot! you should be good with 1000 for sure.

i bought almost all with just $600 mind you I already had my firstborns crib and carseat so if you staring new it depends. i got a few things second hand paying half price or free like bouncers, swings, co sleeper, dresser.. bought the glider and everything else new. still need to buy diapers. if you are preparing a nursery consider, paint, decor etc but most of that is just extra. i would advice getting the baby gear used as they outgrow them fast and are washable. carseat has to be new. crib you. can get second hand but make sure you search the model and that its not recalled. i reccomend getting a 3 or 4 in one to convert to toddler bed. saves money. bedding sets are optional. wish u the best

@michellevaldez4750, yes I don't need a crib, and my insurance pays for the brestpump...I'm going to get most of the clothes from thrift . I saw this one person was selling like 30 onsies shirts for 15 bucks. ..I'll just keep my eye out. I already have diaper bag it's an oversized purse lol . the most expensive thing is the carseat strollers the one I want is 200 bucks at Walmart. I don't need bottles or bibs because she will nurse

@yahuahsdaughter, yes and I have a Costco card. will be buying the diapers and wipes in big bulk packages. I only need a supply enough to last for my maternity leave. after I go back to work I'll be fine...I'm taking 4 to 5 months off

There's apps like mercari and poshmark that you can find really nice gently used clothes toys and anything else you could think of. I'm not sure about strollers and other large items because of shipping costs but it's a start :)
