Contractions don't always start off painful. With my first two my water broke and then contractions started. I sat at home for 3hrs before they were painful and I knew it was time to go in. With my third I started out having annoying contractions for about 5ish hrs before they were too much to take.

But they don't hurt at all.

sounds like regular contractions to me braxton hicks is mainly in back and lower belly
