my heart is breaking.... I posted a couple days ago that we were getting rid of our dog.. well he had been staying in the house still until we found someone.... but today he bit my sons leg again.... so my husband put him down in the barn until we can find someone... he has his food n water and will be out to run a few times a day still..... I just hurts to know that he's down there, I've heard him barking off and on today 🙁 my kids of course come first.... this is a picture of my sons leg after today's incident.... so if any of you mamas live near me and know of any single people or an old farmer with no kids that would like an Australian Cattle Dog (blue heeler) let me know

he's 2, the dog is 2.... he does this when we discipline our son.. it's like he thinks he has to be the authority and he doesn't understand he's not (the dog)

he wasn't messing with the dog, he had been by me and I had to discipline my son for being out after he had been told to stay in the house since he had no shoes on and glass had been broken outside..... I stood my son on our patio and he ran up and grabbed his leg and tries to shake his head basically pulling my son down.... we have a couple but they have waiting lists for like 6 months

dang that sucks. I wonder why he does that..... hopefully you find a home that better suits him right now. I know it sucks .

we were going to get a collar and a system where he could only go like 200 feet away from a base (we live just outside city limits) but hadn't saved enough money to get one yet... we can't use a regular collar and a chain run cuz he can slip collars like that and even a harness... we think he's trying to either "protect" our son from us (we are just disciplining him) or he's trying to be an authority figure to him, either way he's going about it wrong and he's not the authority over my son

I'm sure that thought crossed his mine @theinkedmommy but he just loaded him up kennel and all in the wagon and took him to the barn

Easton is doing good @theinkedmommy he winced a little when I cleaned it (it didn't actually hurt cuz I used collodial silver) and he walked right up to the dog when he just came up herr

I totally see what you mean about your dog trying to be the authority. My dog doesn't bite or anything that's a bit more extreme and I don't have a kid yet but when my cat gets up on a table or something and I say her name loudly he gets completely worked up and runs for her barking..so I can see what you're saying. I'm sorry girl :(
