Any mama's have experience with epidurals? I hear all kind of horror stories and I just want to know…

It was a breeze for me!

They're amazing but I did get not one but TWO spinal headaches.

I was good. I felt so much better. I had pitocin cause I wasn't dialating much n I couldn't handle the contractions since it was making them stronger. but I did have a migraine

Mine the Dr did it wrong the first time, hit a nerve and sent pain shooting down my leg. Had to pull it out and do it all over again. By the time he was done it was too late for the meds to work until my last few pushes and the rest after that. My leg was completely numb for the next 24hrs or so and now the nerve is so screwed up that if I stand or walk for too long it hurts like a b!tch.

I've had an epidural twice it wasn't a breeze but the nurses that were with me had me relaxed.

I'm due this week and I honestly was so traumatized by everyone's experience I decided to watch a video of them putting the epidural in and honestly that was the biggest mistake ever lol

mine was great, felt like heaven once I had it done and didn't hurt at all when they did it

@xomia, I've had one with both pregnancies, they're a life saver lol. No issues what so ever.

My labor was 18 hours long I did 13 natural once they broke my water I would stop breathing during my contractions so I got an epi to make sure baby had oxygen although he did fine with me not breathing just to be on the safe side. I have slight scoliosis so they had a hard time getting it in I got stuck twice to me the epi hurt worse than my contractions. It can cause you to lose your feeling of warmth so I was freezing cold and had about 10 blankets on me and one on my head lol I had horrible back and knee pain for almost a year after giving birth. Luckily I didn't get the headaches. I will never get one again! Plus my goal has always been natural birth soo yeah

I had one and it was perfect..weird at first but everything went smooth...i have a friend who had one and she has really bad back problems because of it...everyone is different though

I've had 3! All were amazing. I experienced some of the after epidural back pain for around 6 months after the youngest was born but it stopped. My husband almost fainted when he saw what was going in my back😂 all I felt was a light pinch.

I loved my epidural... It was amazing and it helped me have a better birthing experience. The hardest part is trying to stay still while you're having contractions. I will do it again.
