When my boyfriend and I limited his cat to one can of food per day, his dad made it difficult by giving her more than one. she has dry food she rarely eats because of it. We decided to hide her food and be the ones to give it to her.. so tonight out of spite she decides to go in the cupboard where her food used to be and start SMACKING around rolls of paper towels and knocking them in the floor. she's definitely not stupid.. but she sure is mean. SMH. haha.

I know it's none of my business but I just got to say this,.you can't just possibly do that in an instant way.that will ñot make her happy. it might make her frustrated and sad.you should do that slowly. she has to see that by pattern, and you can start by giving her 1½ a day. because that will cause her to lose weight shockingly and she might start acting rebellious.I did the same with Bob (my cat) ….just saying:)

his dad wouldn't give her more constantly but she's so overweight as it is and she won't eat her food unless it's in a can honestly. as soon as we lay the can of food down in the mornings she won't stop eating it til she's gone. she doesn't even pace herself. his dad also gives her treats galore and we have literally been on the same bag of dry food for her for I can't even tell you how long. she's fine all day til night time when she wants more of her canned food but eventually she might learn that her dry food is there to supplement. @belle_116

we used to feed him 3x a day with can but he was gaining too much weight so we decided to reduce it to 2 can and he still has his dry foods n his bowl all day it's never empty because he likes to eat and he has his treats too.byt he's not fat or as big as before.now we give him one of his can n the morning and small at night. if it's empty and he wants to eat, we out just a spoonful of dry foods or we let him out so he can have some exercise;)

Haha its bad because she's so used to being indoors that she literally doesn't want outside. if she does go out, it's for a couple minutes on the front steps, then she wants inside again. she lays around all day and gets no exercise in. she was getting one can a day for a while before and things were going good, then his dad would randomly give her an extra one at night here and there. now she's acting out just a bit but I figured once she gets more used to the eating schedule she will be okay. @belle_116

LOL just give her something to put her attention to so her mind can focus in to something instead if food.once she gets use to that, she'll be wanting to get out than just be at home.
