mamas, any suggestions on how I can get my 6 month old to take meds? I have the zarbees cough…

My son HATES meds! So I squirt a VERY little bit n his mouth at a time. I do it then I distract him. This takes forever for me to get it all down but doing it this way I know exactly how much he took & how much he spit out. Good luck!

if you can here rumbling in her chest you might wanna take her to the doctors. listen thru her back. if it's loud and rumbling she should probably get seen! and with the medicine just put a little bit in at a time and rub under the chin to get her to swallow that's what I have to do with my 4 month old he hates meds.

@sarahdrew, when I get the medicine in his mouth I blow on his face and he swallows

@mommy2liamandnoah, she has a dr appointment Tuesday morning I will be sure to bring it up

They also make pacifiers with holes in them, so you can give him the pacifier and squirt the medicine through

Before she gets the chance to spit it out blow into her face. It'll make her swallow. Do a little at a time thought. When I say blow I mean like if wind goes into their face and they kind of gasp for a minute. It won't hurt them it just signals their reflex
