I have always suffered from anxiety and for the last 6-7 months my partner has been out of work due to a back injury so we are together all day every day. Last night I realised I have quite a serious problem... it was my mums birthday meal and he didn't feel very well and told me to go without him (not in a mean way) and I COMPLETELY broke down and freaked out! Just the thought of being without him for a few hours scared the shit out of me! I just cant bare the thought of not being with him... I feel uncomfortable when he's in a different room :( I really dont know what to do...

Hey just read you msg. Did you attend the meal in the end?
Anxiety to a certain level is normal and exacerbated often in pregnancy, but it sounds as though the anxiety is getting in the way of you living your life?
What is it that scares you about being without your partner? Xxx

Yeah we both went in the end :) I felt bad though because I didn't want to force him and getting my own way was never my intention at all :( and honestly, I dont really know... I just think something awful will happen if I leave him on his own xx @homely.mummy.no2

I see. So you get anxious about his health. That's understandable. What causes his seizures, do you know?

It was a prescription drug od both times. But he is off the tramadol now and only taking the amount of cocodamol he is prescribed but I still cant help worrying :( if I'm in the kitchen washing up I'm constantly calling out to see if he's okay or if he goes to the toilet or for a cigarette I'm constantly asking if he's okay...

I'm wondering if its possible for it to be the traumatic stress thing caused by witnessing the seizures @homely.mummy.no2

Was it accidental OD? Tramadol is strong drug. It sounds like "health anxiety". If you really struggle with it go to your gp because they will have psychological support that you can access which will help you challenge negative automatic thoughts. Or CBT online self help might be helpful. You dnt want to be worrying like this when you've got your baby too xxx
