am I the only one who counts 37 weeks and beyond as the "any day now" point? cause I read that baby…

am I the only one who counts 37 weeks and beyond as the "any day now" point? cause I read that baby is full term at 37 weeks and that makes me nervous cause it's only 5 weeks away

You want to get as close to 40 as you can. The brain develops twice as much from week 35-39

@erin.c, they actually changed full term to 39 weeks! They have done a ton of research and found baby still does so much important devolving through weeks 37-39. That's why most doctors won't induce until at least 39+

@candacelouise, @thehowtohippie I'm considered high risk due to pre existing diabetes so they told me not to expect her to stay put to full term. but we're keeping her in as long as possible. thanks you guys for your input :)

@erin.c, awe... Well good luck! I'm not against baby's coming early, I highly believe in the come when they are ready! Just saying they really find they do a lot of growing in those later weeks that others seem to think they don't. BUT, doctors also know when they need to come earlier like in your situation. Where it's better to come out sooner rather than later.

I did! and still am. 37 weeks is considered full term but they like you to too keep them in closer to 40 weeks. but they are fully developed at 37 weeks
