My daughter sleeps better on her stomach... The doctor said she needs to sleep on her back but on her back she wakes as often as every 30 mins.. I put her on her stomach when I'm awake and she will sleep 4-5 hours straight but I can't sleep when she's sleep like that.. SIDS has me so worried about everything and I tried letting her fall asleep on her stomach and turning her over once she's asleep.. Doesn't work.. We were up from midnight to 5am last night.. My hubby went back to work today because he's been keeping her from 10-11ish when I pump a bottle and he stays up and watches her sleep until she's up with no bottle then it's my turn.. I feel like we messed up her sleeping habits already #4weekspostpartum

girl my 1st slept only on her belly my dr said it was fine that was 4 years ago in July they charge it all the time I think

@lil_bigmama, same with my daughter but she's 7 now.. I'm just super paranoid.. I didn't know sids was so common until this app

They really do change it a lot. 4 years ago my daughter did too because she slept better that way. Doctor said I just need to make sure I watch her.

it is but there is nothing u can do to stop it it's just a word they use when they don't know what made a baby pass it's sad but not can stop it even if u never sleep

Just be so so careful I walked in on my son the other day and a blanket was all in his face...it was just a quick nap and I hate to think what would have happened if I hadn't decided to check in on him! it could have worked out but it could have been awful.

@jessica0830, right but how can you watch baby if you're asleep.. @lil_bigmama I know that's what they say but then they turn around and say it can reduce the chances of sids occurring so I'm assuming it happens less to babies who sleep on their backs.. @tahtahme my baby doesn't sleep with any blankets.. I take everything out of the crib and just the fitted sheet and she can turn her head from side to side but sometimes chooses to keep her head face down but when move when she feels like she is about to die... Can't explain why she would leave it in that position for so long but I've watched to see what happens.. So it makes me feel better when she is on her back as well

@rhonda.otero, all my doctor said was she still needed to wake me up every 2 hours to eat and not to go the 2 hours without checking on her. Funny thing is now that she's older she wants to sleep on her back all the time lol

Try laying her on her side. You can use a boppy and put their body in between it but on the lower half of their body. I hope that makes sense! Lol it'll keep her on her side and maybe she'll like sleeping like that!

@mommy_faith, she rolls off or sinks.. She can already turn to the complete opposite side of her crib

Yeah the crib has nothing in it, but he wasnt on the crib. he can usually scoot and turn his head, idk why he wasnt this time but I was glad I had only left for a short period of time! @rhonda.otero
