As I lay here eating my 6th lactation cookie for the day, I look through my old pics (the ones I used to think I was fat in) are you serious YOU IDIOT. Anyway it's got me seriously deep in depressville but at the same time a tad fired up!! I am 10kg heavier than these pics and when you're a short person that makes a massive difference especially coz my muscle is non existent at present and in sad because none of my clothes fit and I've never been so fat before. Anyway I'm keen to get back to my fit self. But I wanna know how much I can do without losing my milk! Any mums have insight?? Can I do a 30 min workout a day and keep my supply? I'm currently doing a 45 min walk 5 days a week with no problems but I want to get back into weights again. I can change my diet obviously but let's face it I've always eaten like an elephant and I need to get back to workouts to get myself motivated toward diet. Tips and advice please :)

This was my pre pregnancy body😭 I gained 18kg during my pregnancy, and have now lost 22kg (I'm exactly 6 months postpartum today). I lost 3kg straight after giving birth, then 10kg by the end of the first week. By two months post postpartum I was 2kg above my pre pregnancy weight, and I had so much trouble losing those 2kg.
Before I was pregnant I was a competitive dancer and dance instructor. During my pregnancy though I was lazy and did nothing lol. But what I found helped was that I walk everywhere lol, plus I live in a area with lots of hills, being summer means it was hotter so easier to lose weight with heat I find, and pushing my massive stroller everywhere aha! 😂
I'm terrible when it comes to found though, so I'm lucky my metoblism is on my side 😂 because since having Chloe i usually eat nothing at all or not that well 😂 Oh the other thing I find that helps is tea, there are a lot of teas that help with weight loss, just got to be careful if your breastfeeding, I drink a fair bit of green tea which I find helps 😄
Another thing though that's helped lots of my friends that I'm just to lazy for is gyms with crèches there, and those mummy fitness groups or doing those fitness DVDs while baby sleeps or putting them in the carrier and doing them LOL - not to sure about that one, my friend says it works though😳

Hey @chelc thanks for your comment! You did well to lose all the weight! I put on 18kg as well, I've always been really active, well the last few years anyway and once i got pregnant I stopped everything coz I was sick for so long and then I was too big and tired to think about it and I just ate whatever I wanted when I used to be strict.. So I lost 8 after the birth but still have 10 to go! I think the walking will help actually. I'm hoping to increase it, and I've just found a mums and bubs yoga class I'm gonna sign up for. Are you breastfeeding?

Thank you💕 I know how hard it is to lose the weight though, so your doing great! Everything is harder with a baby, because time and energy are limited, I find at least😂 Another thing I find that helps is when I plan all the meals I'm gonna make for the week, and stick to my shopping list when going grocery shopping - also helps save money as I'm terrible when it comes to any type of shopping I'll buy everything 😂 No I don't breastfeed anymore, I purely breastfeed for 2 weeks and then mix feed till 5 weeks, due to medical reasons😭

Oh okay that's okay! I just wanted to know if you were if your supply had gone down but I'll just play it by ear and see how I go if I slowly increase my intensity. It is harder with a baby.. And you're smart for pre planning your meal.. I've just started to make thing in bulk for breaky, lunch and dinner options so I have healthy meals to go. It takes time to get on your feet with a bay hey!

exercise i don't think affects milk but ple reduce food intake when exercising. eat lots but healthy options. baby needs milk. the nutritions in yr food is wat he will get. remember you lose weight from breastfeeding too.
