Today I talked to my doctor about when I should go on maternity leave from school and he said when I felt it was time to tell him and he'd write an excuse for me. I told him I wasn't ready just yet but now that I'm thinking about it I'm not sure when I should take my leave. I have been slacking lately with school work and its because I'm constantly tired and not feeling well. I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow (Sunday). What do you mommas think? I don't want the school or my doctor to think I'm being a baby but I don't know if I can continue especially with how I have been feeling lately.

I mean you have 2-4 weeks left (the 4 weeks being if you go over) I think that's more than reasonable. You need to rest these next couple weeks!

I took my senior year online over the summer, I wouldn't quit until I was done. I didn't care how long it took me everyday ..

@killxj0y, so should I wait until my next appointment (Friday) to ask him or should I call Monday and ask and explain to him I thought I could push myself but I can't push myself any more

your 38 weeks and held out this long which is amazing!! so if your officially feeling its time to sit down then so be it. i am 32 weeks and my classes end may 9th so i can understand

@loved4ever, thank you. 😍 It wasn't easy at all but I truly think I'm ready to take my break but I'm also debating because I want as much time as possible with my daughter before starting again

it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of you. when you are ready to be done, then say it. don't overdue it, but make sure you have rest time before the baby comes. my opinion.

in my honest opinion, I would say take it now. so you can be relaxed and ready with everything by the time baby comes. some people wait till the very end because they go nuts at home on their butts. it's whatever you feel is best for YOU. Good luck! 😊

@rainbowbaby2015, which i truly understand! I am actually gonna do a online class over the summer because im not gonna finish a class. so im doing the extension and then taking a english class the 2nd part of summer. Im still on the fence though because yes i am a stay at home mom but its alot. I would say spend that time because it is a beautiful thing and school will be there in the fall semester

Listen to your body. you have done great. I'm working until I'm 36 weeks next week teaching and after that I must go on maternity leave. It's too much now and my body is telling me to slow done and get ready for my c section in 3 weeks.

how much time do you get? would you rather have time to relax or time with a newborn? there's a pro and con to every decision. you have to decide what is right for you and what decision you can live with

@cherryfield, no matter what when she is born I get 6 weeks maybe more depending on my doctor but if I take leave Monday then I'll get at least 8 weeks total
