My in laws said I "wasn't allowed to be a part of planning the baby shower bc it was supposed to be a surprise" but they JUST started planning this thing about a week ago for May 7th... & nothing is ready at all & it's forced me to be apart of it bc without me I swear nothing will get done. Like I appreciate it but get your shit together... They always wanna plan things so late & my MIL is being so complicated about invites cus she wants to invite her coworkers & shit like this isn't YOUR "party" this is MY baby shower.. Thank God my comay & best friend are mainly planning this bc I know they'll get it done regardless, even if it is being done so last minute.

I think that's plenty of time to plan a shower... they really don't have to be extravagant, it's the thought that counts 😊 try not to stress

@mrssanderson, it's just that I have friends & family who live out of town/out of state & they need to request off of work & stuff.. It seems like it's enough time but really things should've already been planned. Bc of how they didn't have anything planned it's already causing me to not be able to have my sister there... I know i shouldn't stress that it will all work out :( thanks momma.

the more people the better I gave extra invites to my MIL and sis in law and because of that I got so many more gift which was awsome

my sister and friend are planning mine for May 1st.. I just found out that it's not anywhere near done.. now I'm all anxious because i feel like it's going to be rushed and not many people are going to show because they waited so long for invites.. I don't ever want it anymore because it's given me such a headache 😞😣

@love345, yeah my MIL wants to invite all these extra people & yeah more presents is great but I don't know any of them, I just want a decent sized baby shower where I'm comfortable with my people not some huge party like she'll try to turn it into

lol at least someone is thinking about you. I am doing my own baby shower. there are pros and cons...everything will be just the way I like it but I'm the pregnant one, dang someone else should be doing all this crap haha. if I was you, I'd let the coworkers come...it may be awkward but that's more gifts for your baby lol I'm just greedy though 😂

@maybaby2016, I never said I didn't want the coworkers to come, but the coworkers aren't THAT important for there to be a big ass deal over them. Plus what's the point in a bunch of presents if I don't even enjoy MY baby shower? My son will have everything regardless. I should've planned my own baby shower, lol

I understand completely, I was just trying to bring light to the situation. you can tell your MIL to send those ladies over here lol I only invited 10 people (I don't know anyone else lol) to mine and a few have already said that they can't make it 😒 but yeah, the good thing about doing it yourself is you get to determine exactly how everything goes! I pick the food, the games, the few guests etc. I'm a bit of a control freak so it works out lol. well, good luck and I hope everything goes wonderfully for you and you get lots of goodies! 😊
