like I've said before... I've been taking care of my nephew since he was born.. everyday all day... I love him but now that I'm pregnant i have insomnia and I never sleep and im too tired to take care of him... when I was a minor I was going to school baby sitting and working... I had to drop out of hs and take adult ed in order to baby sit him and work.. I was tired so so tired... and now that I opened my mouth saying I'm depressed and I can't do it anymore I get yelled at by my parents and my brother that I'M HIS AUNT that I HAVE to.. I don't get paid nothing... I love him but I've been doing this for over 2 years.. I never go out.. I have no social life... im always at home till it's 5 or 6 when people come home.. I don't have a car so even if I wanted to go out the bus stop running at certain hours... I can't even go out to see things for my daughter cause I'm home all the time.. im so depressed and tired of being treated like shit every time I say I don't want to baby sit anymore... my heart hurts.. I'm extremely depressed and I feel like no one ever listens to me or even appreciates me...

sorry, not sorry but that isn't your child to be taking care of like that! an aunt and a parent are two different things, so no you don't have to watch him. its also sad that your family let you get to the point of dropping out for a child that isn't even yours, but it does show how much of a good person you are if you're willing to go the extra mile to take care of him. tell them they should start paying you, and if not then have the government do it(they pay for child care) but also remember, if you can't handle it then don't do it, because you're pregnant. you need rest and time for yourself before anyone else, so don't let them get to you.

@kelseys, I have told them time and time again.. but they just treat me like complete shit about it and yell at me... they don't care about how I feel or even if I have something to do... they just leave him and I have to force myself to wake up to take care of him even when I feel like im going to pass out from how tired I am...

oh hell no! where's the mother at or? that's so unacceptable to do, leaving the kid without telling you? my step dad left his grandson one time without telling me to watch him, he was 9 maybe and I left the house, because if you don't tell me then its not my responsibility

@hamman13, @kelseys .. mother has no custody or visitation due to meth use while pregnant. .. my nephew was born with meth in his system and was having withdraws as a new born..My brother works all day ...
