Have any of you had to use the canesten pessary before for thrush? yesterday I had two clumps come out and one again…

Yeah I did it Wednesday night after I came home from the hospital @lauren16 but it's still coming out in clumps and my knickers are soaking so I'm not sure if it's working or not:/xxx

Hmm mine was coming out 2 days later. Put a pad on Hun but if your knickers are soaking then maybe ring assessment unit xxx @leighamy123

yh I used it all the time in my last pregnancy because I suffered with it that summer lol

@lauren16, that's why I was up hospital Wednesday night because they thought my waters went because my knickers were wet but she said it was just from the thrush, @nadsx316 and did yours work? and was it coming out in clumps?xx

it did work and the stuff that came out was watery with some clumps (pieces of the pessary), I found it worked but only for a while, for some reason it just kept coming back after a few days to a week of getting rid of it...I was so fed up because the itching and just feeling uncomfortable all the time was awful, I found keeping the cream in the fridge really helped to soothe the itch and calm the area down lol...the GP told me to insert it before bed as it makes a lot of mess so did that and used a sanitary towel so it didn't mess my sheets or underwear but that made it worse because of sweat etc so after realising this I just laid a towel down and slept on that xx

okay thanks, I'll get in to doctors Monday to check if it's worked and if not I'll need another one or something else @nadsx316 xx

yh it should work hun, I'd not wear any restricting underwear though as it can irritate you more, be free and natural lool I really believe it helps ...hope it works and you feel better soon xx

antibiotics gave me a similar problem and I can't get rid of it! my doctors won't listen to me either, can be very frustrating at times 🙈 xx
