I had VERY bad pain during sex for the majority of the pregnancy. My doctor said it could be a bacteria buildup, and she said to just wipe with some antibacterial wipes when I use the bathroom. Did help some!
your vagina swells and gets more sensitive, which is my problem, lube really helps a lot. I can't even try to have sex without lube anymore. just make sure it's water based lube, that could help you out.

I was super swollen and at first it was just painful to have sex but then it would hurt to the touch and I couldn't sit or walk or were underwear really, I only felt comfortable laying down with my legs apart or in the shower
