Should You Trust Coworker Advice Over Research on Pregnancy?

@theinkedmommy, I tried to keep an even face and was like "Hmm. Well he'll get measured and weighed at the scan tomorrow so then we'll know for sure." And I just stared about the rearranging your guts part. Gotta love them! lol

@allybrand, Good thing they can't give birth. 😂 People kept telling me "Well I was small like you & still had a big baby". I'll be damned if Lainey was full term & came out 5 lbs 10 oz. I was like, yep, fuck all of y'all. Take that. 😂

@mommycheeks, lol I mean why am I even going to my midwife anymore? I'm going to sign up for his coworker to deliver my baby now and then rearrange my guts. I seriously can not get over that part.

@theinkedmommy, I never knew until I got pregnant about all the unwanted advice about pregnancy and how so many people are apparently doctors. My own mother even told me the other day how my stretching pains were the baby pulling on his umbilical cord and when I would do that as a baby she would watch her belly button suck in. Um, the babies cord isn't attached to the inside of your belly button, it's attached to the placenta. So now I question and look up anything she tells me lol

rite 😭😭😭😭 you know I'm going to screen shot this post because the next time I'm feeling down or worried a bout a c section I'm gone look at this post and say hey I need my guts rearranged anyway what the heck lol...I would have laughed at my husband like seriously lol

@allybrand, Not to mention the cord is free flowing so the baby has no control over it. 😂 Just like the "if you reach over your head the cord will wrap around their neck" bs. It's not true. Even asked my OB.

@theinkedmommy, exactly! I want to sit her down and educate her but it'll just hurt her feelings. She's also against breastfeeding and doesn't have a problem putting babies to sleep on their stomachs. I'm like, how am I alive?

@allybrand, How can you be against breast feeding? 😳 Yeah my mom said "well, you're alive" with the stomach thing. Lainey sleeps on her stomach but only on me. I'm surprised I'm alive too sometimes. 😂

@theinkedmommy, I have no idea. I guess you used to be able to get pills that dried your milk up and she did that with all 3 of us. And whenever we look at baby stuff she's pushing the formula onto me. I really don't understand it.

Lol omg that's crazy... However I will say my father is 6'10 and my brothers and sister where all 10+ lbs babies... Even my children where pretty big considering I myself am a petite person (runt of the family). My children are big and tall for their age, I'm not sure if the giant gene has something to do with the size of the babies but they where huge in my mother's case

@karnamarie, woah 6'10"! I'm hoping I take after my mom and have small babies. My very tiny aunt had 9 and 10 pounders. My anatomy scan is in 2 hours so I'm hoping they weigh and measure him then. Knowing my luck he'll be big and then my fiancé will believe everything that coworker tells him for sure lol

@allybrand Lol yes, it's funny though because my husband is only 5'5 and I'm only 5'1 (my mom had pregnancy complications with me and that's why I am so small) but we have the biggest kids ever! Both children are in the 95+% in size for their age... We are just walking around with giant children lol I get looks all the time
