what fever is to high for a 8 month old my son's fever is back up this time even higher it's 104.1…

•This is what my pediatrician sent to me that I have in my email•. For most kids, call your pediatrician if:

Your child is unusually fussy, sleepy, cranky, or quiet

Your child appears very sick

You are unable to lower your child's fever or your child develops other serious symptoms

The fever goes away for more than 24 hours and then returns

Your child has a fever for more than 72 hours

Your child is younger than 3 months with a rectal temperature above 100.1° F

Your child is 3 to 6 months with a rectal temperature above 101° F

Your child is 6 to 12 months with a rectal temperature above 103° F

Your child has a history of febrile seizures

Or if you notice any of these symptoms:

A stiff neck (unable to touch chin to chest)

Trouble breathing

Ear or sore throat pain

Your child has a seizure (arms and legs jerk uncontrollably)

Your child has a skin rash

Your child cries inconsolably

Your child is difficult to awaken

that's extremely high .. I'd take my daughter to emergency if it was that high

@jennatess, he just has a high fever non of those symptoms :-(

@myjulyprincesseli, I called the on call they said have him come in in the am it goes down with Tylenol ,my dad is a doctor so I'm going to call now get a second opinion from him

Take him in. it shouldnt be above 101

@twinmommy123, I spoke with the nurse she said bring him to his doc in the am the thing is now his fever is gone and it's perfect excuse for them to say he's fine when he gets there. ...ugh

It could me I never get the flu shot bc the only time I ever get the flu is after the shot!!
