you can get a pretty cheap one at walmart or target . . . they have really expensive video monitors now, but I got one for like $30 without video that worked just fine
Just don't get a Safety 1st one. We were given one and not only was the static terrible, it short circuited the second day of use. My boyfriend said it smelled like it was burning or had burnt inside it
I know! I'm so glad we were awake when it happened. I don't know if it would've caused a fire or anything but it still freaked me out. We have a vtech one now. It was like $20 and works pretty good

I know! so creepy! I wouldn't have paid for one anyway but after I saw a couple of news stories like that I was extra glad I didn't have one.
