So my next appointment (4weeks from now) my Doc told me that I'll be taking a diabetes test.

you have to fast 8 hours before test. they give you a REALLY sugary drink. they take 3 tests of blood.

it's the glucose test. they just have you drink a sugary drinknwsit an hour then they see your blood

I had to fast only about an hr before, everyone takes it when they're pregnant. You drink a sugary drink, then they take your blood and hopefully you don't have to go back for the 3 hr one!

my doc told me I needed to eat a small nuteral meal before I do mine and that I'll go into the lab drink the drink and go have my appointment and go back to the lab and they'll draw my blood.. all within the hour and if I fail I'll have to do the three hour test..

@lexirosex3, I hate when doctors do that. their suppose to explain things because of you didn't fast your results could of came back wrong

no need to fast boo.. my ob is in st Luke's. just don't eat anything sugary prior. eat a well balanced breakfast , you'll have to drink a sugary drink in 5 minutes ( ask for the orange one , it tastes like flat Orange soda) and then you wait a hour.. after that they take your blood out and you are on your way .
