Did I really just read that someone in summit county caught Zika? I won't read into this, because it's scary to think about, but hearing it's this close to home. I already have plans on how to protect my unborn child. But still this is freaking me out. Their actually telling everyone to be aware of it around here now, without knowing wether it was from a bite or intercourse. 😣😳😟😰

It came from a local new post, but all it did was confirm that there is a case in summit. All us preggies can do is, use repellent(I want to discuss that with my doc) stay away from things that attracts mosquitoes such as, high grass, stagnant water, ect. I plan on after speaking with my doctor, using repellent and staying inside once the day starts to end. My husband this wknd is re doing all the screens in our home, to make sure none get in & cleaning our yard up & getting the problem areas fixed so our place don't becoming a breeding ground. @hlanc4, no problem, but I would suggest looking more into other ways as well. My husband mentioned to me earlier that I should also avoid dark colored clothing as mosquitoes are attracted to that because the clothing let's off heat.
