So I'm a FTM and I had my baby April 11th. We we just got home from the hospital today. Well while we were there our baby wouldn't stay sleep. She would cry every like 30 minutes to an hour. Never stayed sleep for more than an hour. We were up all through the night. Well today we tried feeding her ever 4 hours and she drinks 45-50 ml of formula. We were feeding her every 2 hours 20-30 ml of formula. OMG that made a helluva difference. She's been sleep and hasn't cried at all since noon and it's now 4:30 pm. I'm going to see if she sleeps through the night too.

It's best to not let her sleep longer than 4 hours.

Less than a week, she shouldn't be sleeping more than 3 -4 hours at a time.

I don't mean sleep through the night. I just mean she's not crying constantly like every 15 minutes. I obviously have to feed and change her through the night.

@he nnatess, @ryliannsmommy @yungbae it's like I would feed her, burp her and then she would get gassy. I would do that again because I'm feeding her more often and she still didn't digest the formula from the first feed. It takes formula a longer time than breast milk. She gave the nurses a run for their money lol. I just want to make sure my baby is as comfortable as possible.

Put her knees to her chest or rub her belly if she seems really uncomfortable. Made the mistake of eating white castles then feeding my son and he was not too happy. Lol. He poots instantly whenever I lift his legs

@gcpaschal, put a swaddle blanket in the dryer until it's warm and press that onto her belly. That will help with the gas issues.(:
