My aunts wedding is in October in Reno and baby is due in August. If he's born on his due date he won't be old enough for his two month shots so I really don't think we should take him. I feel like everybody (my immediate family aside) will throw a bitch fit (mostly my aunt) because we're not going. Am I crazy for now wanting to risk him getting sick since he'll be so new?

I took my 6 week old son to my grandpa's funeral. Most people were respectful and didn't try to reach out and touch him. But it's ultimately whatever makes you feel comfortable!

I know what you mean! It was a 6 hour drive for us but my son loves the car seat and falls asleep right away so it was a super easy trip. We stayed with my grandma though so no hotel. It's a pain to travel but we had to! This summer we are doing a 16 hour drive and he will be 8 months. We'll see how it goes! Good luck to you

my best friends baby hated road trips so they decided to take the foam from her car seat and put in a pillow and she now sleeps the whole ride.
