Are you ladies a strict routine parent or a go with the flow parent???

I am definitely going to be a go with the slow parent as i was raises strict and ended up being really depressed. My parents are great but it just wasnt the best strategy for my sisters and i as we were put under a lot of stress. I also feel like we lost some trust because they were so strict. I was scared to tell them anything so i wanna turn things around with my child

@joceyyyy, yes it was the same thing here and it's definitely more relaxing to me that I took the opposite route

I'm going for somewhere in between. I'm a military mom (and my husband is military as well) so my child will know how to be respectful and pull his weight but I want him to feel like he can also be his own person and make his own decisions/mistakes (to learn from them)

Go with the flow parent that's how my parents were and I turned how fine (I think) lol
