I can't imagine doing the cry it out method. I find it heartbreaking that my son will fall asleep on…

Some kids just need it though . My daughter did .

My son will only fall asleep rocked I know he should learn but it breaks my heart! I'm torn between the two. It sucks @missa72

@edomke, my daughter needed to be in her own room away from everything in order for to sleep . It took her a few days of cry it out which was so hard and heartbreaking then she was fine . If she wasn't in her own room she would wake every hour .... 😱😱😱😱. She was 9 months when we did that and now she is 18 and she sleeps so good now . Our 2nd daughter I think will be like her sister . Our son is just the opposite he didn't need to cry it out he is and has always been a good sound sleeper

I'm the same way! for me it's a trust thing. she trusts me that when she cries I will be there for whatever she needs. I mean sometimes she has to wait til I put what I'm doing down but I talk to her then. it's so sad

I can't do it either he just gets more upset plus I see it as here soon he won't want to cuddle to go to sleep anymore so I'm enjoying it while it last

I think it's a form of child neglect in my opinion. I have 5 kids and I've never once been so selfish to do that.

When did your children grow out of it and just fall asleep on their own? @sktraum

I co sleep/slept with all my kids. I always had to lay down with them to get them to sleep. I put them in their own rooms at 3 years old. I feel it's my job to make my babies feel safe and secure. 😀
