Okayy mommys . I need some advice . Preferably from someone who has one kid & a boyfriend with no kids . Lol but any would help . A while back my boyfriend asked me this question "what role would I like for him to play in my sons life?" & I couldn't answer it because tbh I've never been with a "man" before . I've never been with someone long enough before to care . I said I didn't know because well my son obviously has a father but his attention is elsewhere. He doesn't help raise him & calls & shows up when he wants . Low blow I know . My thing is , I don't expect for my boyfriend to play the daddy role to my son at all . We're all gonna be living together soon . & it was a good question for me to ask cuz I've never thought about it . I've never thought about that one specific role he would have to play . Any ways , what role should I be expecting from him ? Not to be daddy but what ..? A role model , father figure per say ...? 👀👀

If all of you guys are comfortable, It should be ok.If you are able to ask your son, All of you can have a sit down and see what will be best for you guys. My daughter calls my bf and now my new daughter's dad, daddy. He and his family loves her as if she was his.

I'm in that situation I have a daughter and her father really isn't around much and only is when he wants to be and my fiancé has stepped up as a role model and step father he isn't trying to fully take her fathers place out of respect to him but he is there as a role model and step father figure so she understands who her father is and who my fiancé is

Father figure. absolutely. My fiance doesn't replace my son's father, but he is an additional father figure. My son tells him he loves him and my fiance tells him back and he means it.
