Thursday April 7th I thought my water had leaked so I went to the hospital to have them check me & she said it came back negative around 9pm & she (unknowingly) gave me a membrane sweep and sent me home. All night I was having contractions and finally ended up falling asleep around 3am. I woke up 2 hours later feeling like I had peed myself and went to the bathroom to see how soaked I was and realized no doubt in my mind my water had broke!! so I made sure everything was together woke my boyfriend up and drove us to the hospital. They checked me and assured me my water had indeed broke and moved me to a labor room. I was at around 5 cm dilated by the time she checked me at 11 oclock. hours later at around 7 oclock she checked me again and I was still only 5. I was doing my best to avoid using an epidural but by 11pm/ midnight I was crying and could not take it anymore. All the contractions for nothing because I still wasn't even dilating. So by 1 am I had the epidural and felt sooooo much better. it was the right decision personally because I went to sleep and the nurses came in to check me and my vitals all night and I was no longer stuck at 5cm so by 7 am she woke me up and told me it was time!!! I was so friggin nervous! but so excited! I ended up throwing up but after the anti nausea meds she gave me kicked in, it was finally time to ACTUALLY push. It took me a little bit to get the feel of pushing correctly down but once I did they said I did great. her head was pressing up against my pelvic bone a bit and they wanted to use the forceps but I wanted to push one last time so they let me & that's allll I needed!! I heard my babygirl cry at 10:31 and I cried too. I couldn't believe it! I'm so in love 😍😍😍
