Its getting really annoying, everytime i talk to ny mother In law, she has to remind me that she bought my childs crib. its getting to the point where im about to give her the $300 and tell her there now i bought it. and because her other son my brother in law can't get a better job and needs everything handed to him. she thinks we're the same way. no. i worked until i was almost 9 months and saved my money. and provide for my soon to be daughter.. unlike hus wife who quit at 6 weeks and now they're broke... 😒

sounds to me like she needs a reality check! my MIL has bought us a crib, stroller, car seat, bouncer, swing, and tons of clothes and diapers and no way acts like that! my husband and I both work, she's just excited about being a grandma for the first time. I'm sorry that your MIL can't buy you a crib out of the goodness of her heart, rather than rubbing it in your face. that's horrible!
Same! I'm still working at my due date is 9 days away we have enough for 3 or 4 months of me not working... I'm exhausted but I've got to do it! I'd be so annoyed if my MIL did that! But the most she has bought was an outfit for Christmas and a pair of baby booties... My MIL has used my husband for money for a while now and she just recently asked him to help her buy a new car. Cause theirs crapped out on them and was so happy he said No, my hubbys older brother and sister both don't have jobs and live at home with their 2/3 kids. I've give her the money and tell her the same thing. It seems like she is holding it over your head. Which is the worst kind of gift giving.
Mine is already that way and that I'm not doing a good job breastfeeding and that her sons perfect and does no wrong it's been since March 3rd I had my daughter and he hasn't helped me one bit with our daughter barely held her or even feeds her but she thinks he's perfect and Im the horrible one
I have a feeling that is what my mother in law is going to do. I told her I was looking at ikea furniture and she said "my grandchild isn't sleeping in an ikea bed! I'll take you out and buy that furniture for the nursery!" ... Okay but I like ikea? It's always "her grandchild won't be like this" "her grandchild won't be like that" super glad we will be moving to Florida and she won't be right there to give her opinion on everything I do.

If she is saying that already when or if you do give her the money back she will probably throw in your face that you are ungrateful next. Someone like that will always find something to say @kandl
that's how it starts they buy things rub it in your face then tell you how to raise them and when they are grown they will tell your kids how they did everything and we didn't do anything and get into our babies heads @kandl @sberthoud1

I know the feeling mine rubs anything in my face that she gets for my girls or she's been telling me how to raise my girls
what makes it funny is it wasn't even her money it was my father in laws. she hasnt worked in 22 years. but shes the one rubbing it in my face. so im about to honestly @sberthoud1
