Can someone explain to me the different stages of baby food? I accidentally got my daughter stage 2 of some baby food today without looking at it until I got home. & it says it's for babies from 6 months old & my daughter is 3 months but she'll be 4 months Wednesday. I didn't know if I needed to take it back or not? Or is it okay for her!?!

This is a complete guess, but I think it has something to do with consistency. like the other stuff is probably puree and the one you have has small bits that can be chewed? Just a guess

It seems like regular baby food tho? I don't really know but you're probably right! @chichimango

I honestly think you're fine. The old school way was to just feed your baby what you were eating in mashed up bites

second stage is usually just thicker but really I never noticed a difference my daughter just didn't like baby food

Usually stage 2 is thicker and has 2 different types of food rather than 1, stage 1 is easier to detect food allergins because its usually 1 type of food :) I never really went off of the stages though

It Might Be A Little Bit Thicker But Other Than That, It's Really Just That It's A Bigger Container. They Have Some Stage 2 That's Just One Type Of Food And Some Stage 1 That's More Than One Food. They Usually Don't Have Chunks In Them That Need To Be Chewed Up Until Stage 3. It's Okay To Give It To Her. My Daughter Was Eating Stage 2 At That Age And It Never Bothered Her. @marcelljessica
