I'm not sure exactly but I know in the last trimester I took them out. my doctor actually told me to. @ashleyhunter

@ashleyhunter, no it does not...I've had my nipples pierced during my whole first pregnancy (took them off only when I had my son) after a month I put them back on..and now during this pregnancy still have them on...you'll leak from 3 holes lol other than that you'll be fine ..you just might need to change to a longer barbell

My doctor said I can leave mine in until I start feeding. It's not a requirement to take them out while pregnant. But if they're making you uncomfortable or hurting then you probably should, but they are safe :))

@starrbaby, it wasn't too much milk my son was fine with the 3 milk exits lol
