What is everyone's opinion about not having inlaws in the delivery room. My entire pregnancy they have done nothing but cause me stress first by telling me that they are taking my baby from me and then most recently by not being very helpful and canceling the baby shower a week before I'm due because they are mad because I stopped letting them walk all over me and doing everything to make them happy. Also they have caused me to develop a dangerous heart condition due to the stress that could hurt my baby and me. I don't know what to do because I still feel as thou they should be there but I want my delivery as stress free as possible. What would everyone do in this situation?

They can sit in the waiting room ! This is about you and the baby
you can choose who you want there with you, my family and husbands family would go in and out the room while I was in labor but once I was about to give birth my husband and sister stayed with me
I had my mom, MIL, SO, and my sister. no one else. you can choose who you want in your room. Have them in the waiting room, that's what my sister did with her in laws.
I only had my hubby in the room....my other children met their sibling before anyone else.....in my opinion it's not the in laws right to be in there.
They are going to try and my boyfriend had a bad history with things and was put in kid jail when he was younger we are both scared that they will use what he did as a child to get our son taken
had my hubby, mom and mother in law for first two. this one is just going to be me n hubby
Not let anyone one in the room but your hubby. You can ask the doc or whoever is going the delivery to tell them to go on the hospital rules.. I want it to be just my husband and me.. I wanted my mom but she won't be able to make it out. She just got over the flu. My sister thinks she will be in the room but I want it to be just us now.
Used that when I told them earlier and they put me down and said I'm not good enough and that they will be taking my son from me
My inlaws are amazing but I still didn't allow them to be in the delivery room and I'm so happy I did. I don't think they need to be seeing all that it's my husband's and I baby not theirs
even with everything you just mentioned, I do not feel as though that is a moment for anyone but your husband and you. they can wait in the waiting room with everyone else. this is not their child
