I have a 5 yr old who I can not get to stop biting his nails! He bites them so short they look so painful! Anyone have ideas on how to help him break this awful habit?

They have this bitter spray my Mom used to put on my fingers to keep me from sucking them.

try rubbing garlic on his finger nails, he might not like the taste or smell. my daughter used to do that she stopped with garlic.

I don't know if it'll work but vinegar may do the trick. Just put some on his fingers it taste gross and it won't harm him
