It's not always bloody, that's def. mucus. Don't worry it grows back.

No. The mucus plug is red and looks bloody almost. That is just a mucus like discharge it can even be caused by collected sperm and vaginal fluids.

Its normal because the same thing happend to me. When i went into labor i had alot of mucus coming out and it was thicker than that.
