Ok, Thoughts on baby being delivered at 36 37 weeks?
@carsonsmomma, Awww that is great!! But as parents we are patient and we teach them so thats why it is not a big worry that he/she can do these 7 things but not this one.
@wyatts_mommy_0106, awwww❤ i love his name. I totally agree! babies can suprise you! Thanks
As far as long term medical conditions my son is now 9 almost 10 months old and is the picture perfect of health the first month was a bit rocky but now he is great and progressing developmentally really quick already starting to walk! That is the biggest thing with preterm babies is the risk of not developing as quick and even then it is just in a few aspects with my son it is the had to mouth feeding himself still doesn't do that
if she's comes early she won't have long term medical problems because she is early wyatt is 15 months and is super smart and healthy you can't even tell he was a preemie he weighed 4lbs 5oz at birth now is 26 lbs I won't stress about her coming early on 36 weeks isn't too too early some babies lungs mature faster than others so there is no definite way to know if she will be able to breath on her own or not
@carsonsmomma, oh wow!! I am glad he is home and well. Thank you for sharing!
@wyatts_mommy_0106, okay and those are minor compared to other things. like my mom thinks if she comes early she not gonna breathe on her own or have a long term medical problem.
Had my son at 35 weeks and 4 days he had serve jaundice trouble keeping his temp trouble breathing and had to have an iv to regulate his sugars had to stay a week in the nicu and it was the longest week of my life also I went into the hospitial because I was having serve contractions back to back but was not dialating and they had to induce me because baby was not getting enough oxygen it was hard on me and my husband and made what should be a joyous time very scary
@prettyprego, right!! thats what i am trying to explain to some friends and family but they act like she gonna have problems or might have to stay at the hospital until my due date...smh
thank you no he could breath on his own the only problems he had was he couldn't regulate his body temp and low blood sugar and the nurse and myself had to teach him how to suck in order for him to get milk
@mimiz, was she healthy? did you have any problems with the labor or get to bring her home when you had her?
@mimiz, many people say "oh 38 weeks should be fine" but if baby girl wants out sooner then so be it
She had to stay like many babies do only because they need to monitor her make sure she eats , passes fluid and bowel etc it's not really up to the doctors as they say it's up to her progression you know it's hard but she makes me proud @queenace
