@chinadoll_nuk, You can pick out a formula you want to try before you have the baby. They won't give you cans until after the baby is born. I used formula in the hospital & told them which brand I wanted. Then, when I had my baby apt with WIC I told them what formula she was on & they printed me the vouchers. IF baby happens to need a formula change, you have to have the doctors written note to change it for WIC, or they won't.
Yea you'll pick it after. but once you tell then you are only formula feeding you won't get anymore wic for yourself. if you tell them you are breastfeeding you will get alot more foods like when prego and on wic. you can always go in later to change it if your decide to do formula it's really easy.

okay. and if I try breastfeeding first and it doesn't work for me can I tell the wic office I'm trying formula now.? @theylove_fani

That I'm not 100% on. My bf's sister had that happen but I'm not close with her to know if wic pays for her formula or not

@chinadoll_nuk, It's better just to tell them you're not breast feeding so you don't have to get it changed. Just pick a formula you want to use.
