Is there a way to tell of I'm dilated at all? I'm so sore and have so much pressure. I have an appt Wednesday so I'll ask then but thought I'd ask all you mom's first. It's my first so I just don't know what to expect, but I bartenders and work tonight and I'm wondering if I should go in or not.

There is a way but l&d says not to bc you could snag and break your water

I was about 1cm dilated and I was that way till 37 weeks I was 1.5 cm they induced me at 37 weeks

I was 1 cm for about a month too with my daughter, I kept thinking I would deliver any day lol @abeals04

@michellevaldez4750, I had read online you could be 1cm for a while so I wasn't expecting much but once they broke my water I went from 5cm to 9 cm in like 10 min then they were trying to get me the epidural but as soon as they got me the paper to sign I was like i need to push it happened so fast

I was 1 cm from the first time I got checked at 36 weeks until my water broke at 38

@abeals04, yup, that happened to me too, I didn't know at the time that I could stay like that a while and the Dr didn't tell me she just said I was dilated 1 cm and to me it sounded like things were going to start happening lol! I was wrong... but when I did go into labor they broke my water and it sped things up a lot! she was the only one I did get an epidural with though.
